Basisinformatie
Cantina Luretta is a wine company located in northern Italy, in the region surrounding Piacenza. The area is known for its varied landscapes, including mountains, hills, and valleys, which offer ideal microclimates for winemaking. Five valleys, including Val Tidone, Val Luretta, Val Trebbia, Val Nure, and Val d'Arda, flow into the Po River, providing the perfect conditions for cultivating sixteen different DOP wines. The history of Cantina Luretta began with Felice, a cattle breeder who moved to France to explore the hidden mysteries of the transalpine tradition. After years of traveling and learning, he decided to return to Italy and collect experiences and flavors rooted in centuries of history. Felice saw the potential of the Emilian valleys and stopped in Piacenza to experiment with winemaking techniques he had learned during his travels.Felice founded the winery under the ancient Castle of Momeliano, a fortress almost one thousand years old. The castle's cellars provided the perfect temperature for aging fine wines, and Felice used this to his advantage. He combined grapes of French origin with local varieties, creating wines with mysterious names never before seen in the region, such as Pantera, Achab, and Carabas.Today, Cantina Luretta continues to produce award-winning wines that combine the best of French and Italian winemaking techniques. They have a wide selection of wines available, including red, white, and rose wines, as well as sparkling wines and dessert wines. Their commitment to quality and experimentation has earned them a reputation as one of the most innovative and trusted wineries in the region.Cantina Luretta's winemaking process begins with careful grape selection, followed by the use of modern technologies to produce wines that balance tradition and innovation. The grapes are harvested by hand, and then fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks or oak barrels. The wines are then aged in the castle's cellars, where they develop complex and unique flavors.Cantina Luretta's commitment to innovation has led them to create new and exciting wines, such as their sparkling red wine, made using the Charmat method, and their dessert wine, made from dried grapes. They also produce wines using organic and biodynamic methods, reflecting their dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship.Overall, Cantina Luretta is a winery that combines tradition and innovation to produce award-winning wines with unique and complex flavors. Their commitment to quality and experimentation has earned them a reputation as one of the most trusted and innovative wineries in the region, and their wide selection of wines offers something for every wine enthusiast.
